Hi!! I'm Jess!

In my house live seven people who are profoundly and uncommonly happy.  We have peace.  We have joy and there is more love in these walls than I could have dared dream.  I don't deserve that, but it's true.  I'm not saying this to brag or to make anyone feel bad. I know the world and people and relationships are VERY HARD. I know what I'm saying could sound prideful, or puffed up, or like I am boasting.  But I'm not.  (Remember that is was Moses himself who said that Moses was, "...the most humble of men.")

I want you to know why I'm here, and why this ministry Your Happiest Home exists.  I'm here to come alongside mothers to help you learn to love your job, or to love it more, and to help you walk in the fullness of joy Christ died to give you.

 Over the next few months and years, I want to walk with you through stories and books and songs, and thoughts to equip you for a more JOY-FILLED life in your home.  

I want to help you LOVE your job.

This work of mothering, and home-making, and for many of us homeschooling is not for wimps and it is hard hard hard work. But it is also amazing and awesome and riotously fun if we have good character and the right tools to live it well.

2 Peter 1:3 says, "His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to[fn] his own glory and excellence"

What that means is that you and I have everything we need for life and godliness. Everything. So whatever your life looks like, whatever the unique challenges, and whatever the parameters, if you are in Christ you have ALL you need.
It is my belief that Christian families should be the most fearless, full, and fun homes ever! What we are building in our homes is the most powerful, persuasive and compelling thing in the world. We are telling the world the gospel story through our lives, our loves, and our sacrifices. We are building culture and we are raising the next generation of faithful believers. What can be more fun than that?
So pull up a chair and cup of your favorite steamy beverage. Let's be friends and let's spur one another on toward love and good deeds and in so doing, I'll bet you anything we will find more and more of that true and lasting joy which is our inheritance through Christ.
